The Haz-Dust DPM-7204 is a portable, personal diesel particulate monitor designed for Industrial Hygiene and Environmental air investigations. Worn individually, it measures diesel particulate matter in the breathing zone with real-time data and graph reporting. It’s the only direct-reading aerosol monitor calibrated for occupational diesel exposure, featuring a flow-compensated pump and a 37mm filter cassette for NIOSH 5040 carbon analysis. Using near-forward light scattering of infrared radiation, its optical sensor detects airborne particles, with light scatter proportional to concentration. Signal processing reduces noise and drift, displaying continuous dust levels in mg/m³.
